In July 2012, Bossa Zuzu played a benefit concert for Grupo Cultural Arte Consciente, an after-school program based out of Salvador da Bahia, Brazil that teaches music, dance, art, and self-defense. We raised $500, which went to buy musical equipment for their Carnaval performance. The program has been instrumental in turning around the community of Saramandaia, once regarded as one of the most dangerous neighborhoods in the city. We were honored to have been able to contribute. Thank you to everyone who came!
